Today's payment experience for online consumers is slightly
changed with the use of the PayTC™. The description below walks you through
an online purchase.
-
Once the consumer is ready to purchase goods or services online, the checkout
option is presented by the web merchant.
- The consumer is requested to select a payment method.
- The consumer chooses the PayTC™ payment method and is redirected to the
Payment Gateway.
- The Payment Gateway provides a web page with a signed and embedded
PayTC™ interface*.
- The PayTC™ interface requests that the consumer places his PayTC™ device
in an available USB port if he has not done so.
- The PayTC™ interface requests that the user enter his password to unlock the PayTC™
in order to retrieve the encrypted credit card information.
- Encrypted credit card information is retrieved by the PayTC™ interface.
- Both the encrypted credit card information and the transaction data (called the data package)
is transmitted
by the PayTC™ interface to the Payment Gateway.
- The payment gateway passes the data package on to the Trusted
Authority (possibly the credit card issuer) for approval.
- The transaction is approved or rejected and all third party systems
receive a receipt of the transaction result.
